Labor’s presidential candidate Peter Obi had an early lead in Plateau State.

Speaking about the results, Professor Noel Wonnang, Barkin Ladi’s LGA Return Officer, said the exercise was peaceful and there were no challenges.

Wonnang said Labor Party candidate Peter Obi got 32,489 votes to beat APC candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu with 12,514, while PDP candidate Atiku Abubakar got 9,073 votes.

Also, at the Riyom LGA, Labor Party candidate Peter Obi polled 15,171 people to beat his nearest rival Atiku, who received 8,181 votes.

While the APC candidate, Tinubu, received 6,936 votes.  In the Mikang LGA, Atiku Abubakar collected 7,211 votes to defeat his closest opponent, Labor Party’s Peter Obi, who received 7,201 votes.

While APC candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu got 5,044 votes.

At the time of submission of this report, only the above three LGAs were reported.
