The large-scale operation of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to prevent vote-swapping and other financial misconduct ahead of tomorrow’s presidential and national elections could have begun to bear fruit with the arrest in Lagos of a total of N32,400,000 (Thirty-two four hundred thousand Naira) suspected to have been used to buy votes in Lagos. Officers from the Commission’s Lagos Regional Command have recovered.

The suspect involved has been taken into custody for further questioning.

The Chairman of the Commission, Abdulrasheed Bawa, called on all Commission staff deployed to monitor the election to show courage and not yield to unscrupulous people who undermine the integrity of the election. elections through financial incentives.
