Officials from the Independent National Election Commission (INEC) have reconvened and continued to gather results for Saturday’s by-election for governor, The Nation confirmed.
The Nation reported that INEC on Sunday suspended filings for Saturday’s by-state gubernatorial election after Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) Hudu Ari announced that Aisha ‘Binani’ Dahiru of All Progressive Congress (APC) was the winner.

INEC nullified the notice, suspended Ari indefinitely, and summoned him to its headquarters in Abuja for questioning.

The Nation also learned that INEC National Commissioner and Voter Education and Information Committee Chairman, Festus Okoye, was at the collection center.

Returning officer Adamawa Mohammed Mele was also present at the collection center.
