The Federal Government of Nigeria has chartered luxury buses to evacuate Nigerian students studying in Sudan.
Foreign nations rushed to evacuate their citizens from Sudan as fierce fighting broke out between forces loyal to two rival generals.

PUNCH reports that the federal government will begin evacuating about 5,500 Nigerians on Wednesday, including students stranded in Khartoum and other cities in Sudan.

With this in mind, the government spent 150 million nairas chartering 40 buses to ferry its desperate citizens from Sudan to Cairo in Egypt.

The bus has arrived and the students are preparing to be evacuated.
