APC Vice Chairman demands Adamu, Omisore’s resignation, calls for emergency national convention

The National Vice President of the All Progressives Congress (APC), North West, Salihu Lukman, has called for an emergency national congress to elect the party’s new national leadership.

Lukman, in a statement on Friday, also called for the party’s national president, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, and the national secretary, Senator Iyiola Omisore, to resign.

He stressed that with a national president who is also a Muslim, it is important to take all the necessary steps to create a change of direction within the party so that a new national president is a Christian. God can take over.

Lukman explains that part of the advantage of this is that the national president can be retained in the central north.

He said the current National President has done a great job in managing a successful campaign to win the 2023 elections with all the challenges that come with it, there will be no difficulty in convincing persuade Adamu to resign as National President to give the opportunity for a new APC national president to emerge as a Christian. Lukman notes:

He pointed out that in addition to changing the national president, it is also necessary to acknowledge the case of the party’s national secretary, saying that he has become a stronger source of conflict in Osun state.
