“Allow Me Access To Election Materials To Help Me Prepare My Defence” – Tinubu Tells Court

President-elect Bola Tinubu approached the Abuja Court of Appeal asking the court to order the Independent National Election Commission to grant him access to sensitive documents it used for the presidential election.
Tinubu claimed through her attorney, Me Akintola Makinde.

He said he will need to check, scan and photocopy some election documents so he can prepare to defend himself against petitions seeking to overturn his election.

While Tinubu’s first unitary petition, filed on March 6, featured the Labor Party and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, as responders, the second petition, the People’s Democratic Party and its candidate, Atiku Abubakar, were named as responders. , next to INEC

According to Makinde, “the documents will be relevant to help us prepare our defense and also to compare with the information contained in the main INEC server”.

The Court of Appeals the Court of Appeals for the Presidential Election will rule on Tinubu’s lawsuit on Wednesday.
