AKUMAZI ROYAL FAMILY DECLARES JEGBEFUME ONYEHINIM WANTED

JEGBEFUME ONYEHINIM

The Royal family of Akumazi Kingdom in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State has declared one of their sons; Jegbefume Onyehinim, wanted for violation of their traditional rite.

A closed family source who pleaded anonymity disclosed to our reporter that it was abominable for any of the royal blood to leave the family home when the monarch is pronounced seriously ill.
According to our source, “The Akumazi royal family had during an emergency meeting held on May 4th, 2013 announced that the monarch, Obi Stephen Chukwuyemeze Osagie III (JP), is seriously ill and on the verge of death”.
The source further disclosed that the patriarch of the royal family, Pa. Jonny Jegbefume had during the meeting warned that on no account should any member of the royal family leave the community until the monarch is pronounced well or dead, while reminding them that eyes was on everyone, for whoever escapes will face the penalty.
The source said the illness of the monarch triggered worry and fear because a royal blood will be needed for him to get well if it is the will of the gods of the land.
The source said that following the monarch’s healing ritual that had claimed so many lives, Chukwudumebi, one of the wives of the royal family took her only surviving child, Jegbefume Onyehinim and escaped and in the process she was shot.
The monarch ritual rite is not a matter to contend with either by the government nor anyone else, the source added.
Meanwhile, Jegbefume Onyehinim was said to be the one chosen by the gods as the sacrificial lamp for the king to be healed. Hence, the people of Akumazi including the royal family are now searching for him to be sacrificed in order not to attract the wrath of the gods.
All efforts to reach Jegbefume Onyehinim’s mother (Chukwudumebi) to hear her own side of the story proved abortive as her whereabouts remain unknown.
