The real name of Ajebutter22 is Akitoye Balogun. He is a musician and rapper from Nigeria. He gained notoriety in 2009 with his sister Taymi B, as part of the creative hip-hop group, Soyinka’s Afro.

Early Life

Ajebutter22 was born on the 1st of June, 1991, in Lagos State, which falls in the South Western part of Nigeria. He had both his primary and secondary education in Lagos State.

Career

He began practicing his rapping skills in high school and began to strengthen his rapping abilities. Later, he participated in online ciphers and rap fights with artists like Ty Magic and Ries in groups on Facebook. Later, he and his sister Taymi B formed the family-oriented duo “Soyinka’s Afro” and released music. They debuted their first song on the Gidilounge music player, “Storybook Girl,” which has received positive internet reviews and features Falz and Echo.

In 2010, Ajebutter22 released his first mixtape titled ‘Death of the Skip Button‘. London Girl to a Lagos Boy, Ko Easy, and She wants more, are the singles in this mixtape. The sky was the limit from there on out as their debut mixtape, “Death of the Skip Button,” released in early 2010 and included songs like “London Girl to a Lagos Boy,” “Ko Easy,” and “She Wants More.”

The mixtape was produced by David Evans and Pupper Master at Beautiful Music studios in Northampton, UK, and received roughly 5,000 downloads through the site there. Ajebutter’s sound has since developed from rap verses with clever wordplay and punchlines to creating catchy choruses and well-rounded, wholesome songs. He raps in English, Yoruba, and Pidgin and mixes his own tracks in his home studio.
