Addressing newsmen, the leader of Osho kindred, Mr. James Osho disclosed that Neo Osho is the son of their brother and uncle, Mr. Afolabi Osho, resident in South Africa.
Lamenting the violent xenophobic attack, Mr. Osho said Afolabi Osho lost all he acquired in life in the attack that he and his family had to run for dear life after several attacks on them.
Continuing, he said, “We have gathered in our usual annual August meeting to talk on the issues of unity and growth of Osho kindred. But this year’s meeting has made everyone traumatized over the news of the whereabouts of the missing Neo Osho who we gather was left behind in South Africa by his parents to complete his education”.
While praying for Neo Osho’s protection if found, Mr. Osho stated that his life and that of his siblings and parents are under threat. He cried, wishing for their safety which to him has remained their worry.
He passionately appealed to the South African government to do the needful through preventing further attacks, saying that it is not a crime for someone to come to their country seeking to make progress. Mr. Osho said the attack has led his brother, Mr. Afolabi Osho to lose all he laboured for in life such as his company, and other valuables that were destroyed.
Further lamenting, Mr. Osho disclosed that Neo Osho has been a wanted person by his Irun Akoko Community over the refusal of his parents to allow him to worship their community deity because of their Christian faith and because their son Neo Osho is the chosen one. He said it is a deadly spiritual calling which made Neo’s parents to escape to South Africa to settle.

“Also, the deepest worry of Osho kindred is that Neo Osho can never set his feet in Nigeria again because his people of Irun Akoko Community are in search of him to use his blood as ritual cleansing to appease their gods over many calamities that has befallen them for his rejection of the offer to serve in their shrine, an act we confirmed the police and the government do not intervene in because it is purely traditional. In all, his safety is very dear to us”, he stated.
