Adekunle Gold, a Nigerian singer, has used his wife, Simi, in the sensual video for his new song, “Sinner,” which has sparked outrage on social media.
Adekunle Kosoko, better known by his stage as Adekunle Gold, shared his new video on social media on Thursday.
Blaize Beats created the song ‘Sinner,’ which was released two weeks ago and includes American singer Lucky Date.
Adekunle Gold revealed in an interview with Official Chart that the song “Sinner” was inspired by the Bible account of King David and Bathsheba.
“I considered the intimacy between them,” he remarked. I know it’s strange, but I was thinking about how badass Bathsheba must have been to lure King David to risk everything for her.
“I realize it’s a story that reveals David’s fragility, but I chose to see it as a story about how beautiful she must have been, so I decided to write about it that way.”
Adekunle Gold and his singer wife are shown in romantic poses on a vehicle bonnet, in the bedroom, and in a pool in the video, which was created by Polish photographer Magdalena Wosinska.
