2023 Census To Be Delayed by Election Postponement– NPC

The start of the 2023 National Population and Housing Census, originally scheduled for March 29, will likely be affected by the postponement of state and parliamentary gubernatorial elections.
This was said by the Chairman of the National Population Commission, Nasir Kwarra, during a meeting with the Resident Representative of the United Nations Population Fund in Abuja.

The national elections, previously scheduled to be held on March 11, have now been scheduled by the Independent National Election Commission for March 18.

Although he did not set a specific date for the start of the exercise, Kwara told reporters he would consult with President Muhammadu Buhari about a suitable date for the national census.
