Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has a new wife days after his wives caused an internet stir for sneaking glances at each other at an event.
News spread online that King Ife had married his sixth wife, identified as Queen Opeoluwa Elizabeth Akinmuda.
Although no pictures of the wedding have been posted online, the wedding is believed to have taken place quite a while ago. City People reports that an invitation has been sent out to the royal family and friends of Ooni for the Thanksgiving ceremony scheduled for Saturday, May 20, 2023.
The event will be preceded by the Queen’s traditional welcome into the old Ife Oodua Palace in Ile-Ife on Thursday. At the time of submitting this report, Ooni has yet to make an official statement on its social media pages.
