President Buhari Visits APC Chieftain Tinubu In London After Second Surgery (See Photos)
President Buhari has paid a visit to Bola Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Lagos State Governor, in London, where he is recuperating following a second operation in a month.
During Buhari’s visit, Tinubu was seen with a walking stick, confirming reports that he had a second surgery in the United States.
Tinubu had knee surgery at the John Hopkins University Hospital in Maryland on Monday, according to reports.
The APC leader, it was learned, left the US on crutches for the United Kingdom a few days after the surgery.
Tinubu, who uses a walking staff, paid a visit to Buhari on Thursday.
After his second surgery, he couldn’t hide the fact that he was having trouble walking. He traveled to the United Kingdom on crutches but used a walking stick to see Buhari, according to a source.
According to individuals close to Tinubu, he originally planned to have the surgery in Paris, France, but changed his mind due to rumors of his death.
“Tinubu recently underwent his second surgery at John Hopkins University in Maryland. In Chicago, he was joined by a well-known Nigerian doctor. He sought the surgery in Paris, but as word of his death spread, he flew to Nigeria and went to John Hopkins, according to one of the sources.
Another insider said, “He departed the US on crutches for the UK.”
